Therapy for Adults

My aim in providing therapy for adults is to support and assist people to deal with their
challenges and enhance their happiness. In therapy I try to provide a supportive non-
judgemental space which allows the individual to resolve and change patterns, thinking
frameworks and behaviours to allow positive growth.

Therapy can assist adults of all ages in overcoming challenges such as:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Depression
  • Grief and loss
  • Anger
  • Trauma
  • Separation and divorce
  • Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)

My approach is to regard each individual as a unique person who has specific needs and to
fit the therapy approach to these needs. Therapy approaches can include: Cognitive-
behaviour therapy and narrative therapy.
To gain more understanding about each individual, I typically use some scientific
psychological tools, such as self-reporting psychological assessments such as Personality
Assessment Inventory, 16 personality factors and NEO.
